Opening song The Boxer is a great opening tune, immediately recognisable carried by an old fashioned bar-like piano line. Followed by the darker opening riff of Neon Signs you soon realise that this is something special. The EP can almost be considered a full length album with its 10 tracks and the professionalism it shows. The tunes are melodic and have hooks that instantly get stuck in your mind, all fronted by intelligent lyrics.
For me to get this album was easy. It was sent to me for free from their Myspace website, and lay around for a while until I had the time to listen to it. It was a revelation, that EPs can be made this professional. So of course I went straight to Myspace to find and compliment them. Yet there was nothing to be found. The website (which is now gone as well) said thanks for all the support, and that was it. Another great band just disappeared. These guys should have been huge!
We have all got them, bands we loved that didn't get the success they deserved. Write and tell us a band or artist you loved that should have been huge.
