Released: March 2
Crashing in with all the subtly of a shoe walloping former president Bush on the bonce, “Shattered Feeling” by rockers Guns on the Roof is big, butch and palpably het up about… something. The song might concern the first flushes of love drifting into disillusionment, but it’s all lost to noise as the band race each other in a stampede to the first chorus, indulging in a veritable Sodom of chest-beating and power chord thrashing. And that’s before we even get to the “Whoa-oh-oh” coda nabbed straight from Kim Wilde’s “Kids in America”. It is, in a word, anthemic.
