Non-stop and full of energy this pounding debut double A-side, ‘Leni/Science of Sleep’ is a throwback to the glam punk era of the late 80s early 90s, where bands like New York Dolls ruled the airwaves. Songs were there to make a statement and this is exactly what Flash Fiktion do.

With an electronic rock opening, ‘Leni’ is full of dark lyrics, hard hitting riffs, urgency and an infectious chorus which all put this South London band at the forefront of ‘the’ bands to watch for 2010.

In opposition is second offering ‘Science of Sleep’ , a chance for Flash Fiktion to present themselves as a versatile and contemporary band. It is mellow, psychedelic and experimental, albeit with happier vocals and an indie-pop vibe.  Very much the chalk to 'Leni’s cheese.
