Following from the sure sign of apocalypse that was last year’s collaboration with P Diddy (Diddy’s name attached to something that cool? Now you know the end times are upon us. Horses will be eating their arses next. DJ Hell has hooked up with Ferry to get the 2010 party started. However, what with Hell’s name being synonymous with the kind of ultra-minimalist, jerky-twitchy electro that only a chronic speed freak would consider a floor-filler, and what with Ferry being the only sentient being in the UK who still thinks fox hunting is an unutterably chic way to spends one’s time, you might be forgiven for not baiting your breath over this one. And you’d be half-right. It’s all a bit too naughty-nighttime, down tempo, whoops-where’s-me-jodhpurs for one to definitively get one’s groove on. However, it’s the nearest Ferry’s got to a banging tune since ‘Let’s Stick Together’. That being the case Jooles Holland should get Ferry to perform this on Later ASAP so he can work that sleepy eyed look that’s kept the Home Counties’ nethers tingling since 1973.
