A Place To Bury Strangers- Missing You

'it dicks all over more commercial exponents of this genre'

Released 6th April, Rocket Girl Records

Being hailed as the ‘loudest band in NYC’ is a big tag to justify, but A Place To
Bury Strangers
certainly live up to their tag with new single ‘Missing You’.  Though quite where how they fitted in with previous tour partners  MGMT and their
hippy-dippy electro rock is unclear.

A pounding slice of post-punk revelry, it dicks all over more commercial
exponents of this genre and makes itself at home with being a long-lost,
much-loved cousin of Joy Division with a pounding unremitting bass-line that
compares to ‘She’s Lost Control.’

Dissolving into waves of ear popping feedback during the chorus of ‘I’m falling in love again,’ it will appeal massively to fans of the aforementioned Joy Division, My Bloody Valentine and those that liked the less sing-a-long moments of Glasvegas.

The Clapp remix of B-side ‘to fix the gash in your head’ is ace too,
with its characteristically chirpy refrain of ‘I’m gonna kick your head in.’

Do A Place... deserve 'loudest band' tag? What about Scouting For Girls?
