Has music been going backwards? Didn’t someone say this once? It seems that way  psychedelia is notable for it’s re-emerging with bands like MGMT, while in recent years Oasis and Kasabian have also had flirtations with psychedelia. 

Well here is another band I’ve discovered, a New York two piece authentic psychedelic outfit called Silver Apples.

And here’s the rub, this album was released in 1968…..yes 1968! I know the singing style is very much of its time but listen to the electronica here! 

This is where the point comes in, they kinda invented/influenced/ a lot of things that is classed as fresh today.
