NME awards, Festival headliners, Kinks collabs, Velvet Revolver andsad news for anyone who wants to 'fight for this love'....

 

 

Whats happening in the world outside Gobshout Towers this week: 

 



It's that time of year again kids - the 24th sees the annual NME awards roll round. With live performances from Paul Weller (Godlike Genius? Nah- Ed), The Specials, Kasabian, plus Hole. The night, hosted by Jarvis Cocker,looks set to be a scorcher! Keep an eye out for updates for award winners on the site....

 

Until then NME are getting excited about Festival season which looks set to be shaping up nicely with more big names jumping into headline slots. Joining Jay-Z, Biffy Clyro, Empire Of The Sun, The Cribs and Florence And The Machine at T in the Park are Headliners, Eminem and Muse:

Gigwise are getting excited at the news that Coldplay plan to release their fifth album by Christmas 2010;

Finally, we leave you with some tragic news in the showbiz world - thats right, angryape have confirmed that Cheryl Cole, (that musical genius) has left that footballing bloke she's been shacked up with. Que lots of gut wrenching interviews with OK! magazine and the inevitable 'heartbreak' album...which will no doubt be a classic of epic proportions.....
