Classic TV show Top of the Pops is set to make a return to our screens for two one-off specials at the end of this year. One new show will air on Christmas Day, whilst a special review of the year programme will be shown on New Year's Eve.
The BBC has said that this does not mean a permanent comeback for the show, which began life in 1964 with performances from both the the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.
Over it's lengthy lifespan, the show played host to nearly every big name in pop, including several legendary performances such as Nirvana's classic Smells Like Teen Spirit (click to watch).
Fearne Cotton and Reggie Yates have been selected as presenters for the revival. No acts have been confirmed as of yet, but, good news: The Ting Tings say they will "jump at it" if given the chance to appear.
