P. Diddy, formerly Puff Daddy, sometimes Sean Coombs, is set to star in two episodes of the hit US crime drama, CSI: Miami.

The rapper and business man will play a federal prosecutor, who will clash with the crime scene investigators "'not only on a case, but also in their personal lives".

Coombs is no stranger to the acting game, having also appeared in Oscar-winning film Monster's Ball.

According to reports, he is also working on his own film script, a romantic comedy. He has claimed he wants (former squeeze) Sienna Miller to star as well as Angelina Jolie.

Eddie Murphy is his surprising choice of lead man.

The episodes of CSI: Miami are due to air early next year.
