Axl Rose, the controversial lead singer of legendary LA hard-rockers Guns N' Roses, has finally announced that the band's latest album, Chinese Democracy, will be released in the UK on 24 November, 2008.
The album will be the first original studio material released by the band since Use Your Illusion I and II in 1991.
The album has already entered rock history for various claims that it is the most expensive and most delayed record ever. Its recording has certainly been troubled, featuring dozens of personnel changes, including Queen's Brian May.
Axl Rose is the only band member remaining from the classic line-up that created the ultimate rock-party album, Appetite for Destruction, in 1987 - former member's Slash and Duff McKagan having gone on to create Velvet Revolver.
In March this year, Dr Pepper promised to give a free can of Dr Pepper to every person in America (except Slash) to celebrate the release. Yesterday, their blog promised to uphold this claim.
Due to the band sueing bloggers who have released material from Chinese Democracy, you'll have to track it down yourself. Here's a classic instead. Wait for 4 minutes, 12 seconds in. It's the best thing ever.
