A family from a Malawi village have failed in their attempt to adopt a white American child.  They wanted to take a white child from 'the crime ridden streets' of New York and take it to the safe environment of their Malawian village, however bureaucrats have refused their request. 



Disappointed would-be father Stephen Bonatume told Gobshout – ‘It’s one rule for the rich and another for us ordinary folk. It’s ok for rich pop stars to come in and give one of our kids a better life, but when we want to do the same we are refused.  Talk about double standards!’



Bonatume denied that the fuss handily coincided with a soon to be released duet with Timbaland and Shakin Stevens’.
