Madchester indie legends Another Level have put paid to speculation that they will reform for a 21 date tour this year.

Iconic guitarist Dane Bowers appeared on Newsnight last night to quash the rumours once and for all.

‘I’ve have no desire to defacate on the grave of the semen-stained Madchester band Another Level.’

He added: ‘ I’ve got a nice little job as a painter and decorator which pays £8 an hour, and I even get an hour for lunch.  Why would I want to give up all that?

'I decided to spray-paint a message on this strange metal thing to lay the rumours to rest, and hopefully it will work.’
