Kasabian frontman Tom Berenger claims his band is the best placed to fill the void left by Oasis.

Speaking exclusively to Gobshout, Tom said: ‘It’s a shame that they (Oasis) have split, cos we made shitloads of cash supporting them on tour, but in a way it could be a good thing.’

‘Oasis and Kasabian are cut from the same cloth and we hope all the people that followed the band will come over to us.’

The band have even come up with a strategy which they hope will win them Oasis fans.

‘Well just recently I shagged Patsy Kensit.’

‘Next I intend to start flicking the v-signs at photographers, pretend we are tough as fuck and slag everyone off in interviews.’

‘Then we will make sure the next six albums are shit and everyone will talk about how we have lost it.’

‘Oh and as for my brother in the band, Serge Peroni, I fucking hate him I do, he’s a prick.’
