Jonny Borrell Overcomes Shyness

'I’m going to enter the stage surfing a giant guitar before taking my place on a throne at the front of the stage'

It has been revealed that Johnny Borrell has been receiving therapy for help with his long-standing lack of self-confidence.

In an exclusive Gobshout interview the Razorlight singer said: ‘I've been plagued by a lack of confidence my whole life y’know?  It's obvious to anyone who watches our show that I don't enjoy the limelight.  Well thanks to my therapist, those days are in the past; gone is the shrinking violet, long live the new king of rock and roll!'

‘The next tour I’m going to enter the stage surfing a giant guitar before taking my place on a throne at the front of the stage, where Bono will come and place a crown on my head whilst someone bearing a strong resemblance to The Queen gives me a hand-job.’

When asked what the rest of the band thought about it, Mr Borrell said: 'Who?  Oh them.  Fuck 'em.  Their place is in the wings, just like that smart-arse Burrows that wrote sodding America.  Try and steal my thunder will you?! Fat fucking chance!'

'My therapist says I’m never going to grow unless I’m having all this attention.’
