Glastonbury is proving it is nothing if not diverse. Following on from the news that Beyonce will headline The Pyramid Stage on Sunday, Emily Eavis confirmed that Five Star would headline the Michael Jackson Stage on the Saturday.
Speaking exclusively to Gobshout, Emily said: ‘Michael Jackson’s dead. Get over it!’

‘And what better way to get over it than with Britain’s own answer to Michael Jackson – the wonderful Five Star! They promise to do all their hits including System Addict, Joyride and Making Your Mind Up.’
There are still some issues in reuniting all the original band members as Emily explains: ‘They might only be Four Star though. Little Joey Five Star has to wear an electronic tag after being caught setting peoples wheelie bins on fire.’
Emily Eavis refused to be drawn on rumours that the inimitable Lady Gaga is set to shock the Glastonbury audience in her most controversial outfit to date. It is rumoured that she plans to enter Glasto’s Pyramid stage dressed as a giant vagina. She has though apparently given Emily assurances that it will be tastefully done.
More in keeping with the traditions of Glastonbury, The Fleet Foxes have confirmed they will again be bringing their ethereal sound to the valley. They will be playing songs from their new album ‘Lovely Trees and Mountains and Lakes and Rivers and Stuff.’
It promises to be a cracker!
