In the first of our Gobify lists compiled by musicians, Trevor Moss and Hannah Lou give us a selection of their favourites. To explain their choices, we hand over to Hannah Lou...
These are some of the songs that have appeared over the years in our live sets. We not only extremely enjoy playing the songs on this playlist, but we've also learnt a great deal from covering them, whether it be songwriting skills, singing technique, or how to put together complicated harmonies as a duet. We're both huge Old Crow Medicine Show fans, and took a lot of influence from them with our first band Indigo Moss. In fact our version of 'CC Rider' ended up on our first album. Trevor's always greatly enjoyed singing songs by the likes of Donovan, Guthrie and Dylan, and I think any female singer has got to love singing anything Sandy Denny, Joan Baez or Emmy-Lou has sung before. We were recently asked to play at an evening of protest music at The British Museum, and some of these songs were learnt especially for that and have stayed with us ever since.
Trevor and Hannah's self titled debut album is released this week
