There are many conversations one has on a night out with friends that you will never remember in the morning. However when your best friend – albeit after a few Sailor Jerrys – turns around and declares: “OMG did you hear that Lady Gaga is actually a man?!” you tend to take note.  After first enquiring how rat-arsed she was (moderately) I discovered that there is actually a serious internet debate on the gender of America’s poker-faced starlet.

And how did this all start you ask? From none other than, wait for it, Christina Aguilera! Yes Miss Aguilera in reply to media’s claims she was copying Lady Gaga’s style hit back with the retort that not only was she not sure who this Lady Gaga is she also didn’t know if ‘it’ was a man or a woman. I think the hint is in the name love.

But is there any truth in the claims? Could the she be hiding a secret little Gaga in those tight little numbers she wears? Doubtful, they do leave little to the imagination after all. But that’s not stopped the internet masses collecting pictures of Gaga with what can only described as a bulge. In fact, there are countless YouTube videos dedicated to showing those unflattering pictures that even the prettiest girl has as if they’re some kind of proof that Gaga is a transvestite.

What other proof is there? Big hands, an apparent Adam’s apple and the overall ‘tranny chic’ vibe that she gives out. Sounds a bit like Xtina circa Lady Marmalade era to me. Pot calling the kettle black it seems.

Looks like it might be handbags (or pistols) at dawn for these too.

In the mean time who’s da man?
