Profile: Chris Sheerin.

I have been writing music reviews for my own website/blog for nearly five years and the blog has been in its current form since the start of the year. I have also been published on two other music review websites and I have included these on my blog. I am motivated by the constant changing music industry, discovering new bands, but also following the new music produced by so-called well established artists. I enjoying writing reviews for 'bad' music as much as 'good' music. There is always something to say and opinions to share.

I like all kinds of music on the edges of pop (and sometimes pop itself). For me this means alternative, indie, rock, folk, electronic, alt-country and metal. I even like some classical pieces. I don’t usually like the define genres but alternative and indie music is that which is always surprising, compelling and engaging. I like good meaningful lyrics and above all a decent tune.

My ambition is to become a professional writer, ideally music related and media focused. I also enjoy good television and films nearly as much as music and occasionally enjoy writing film reviews and television sitcom episode guides.
